A Future-Ready Curriculum for Every Stage of Secondary Education
At AFASST, our academic programs are carefully designed to take students from the foundations of secondary education all the way to university readiness. Every stage of our curriculum is guided by the principles of academic rigour, scientific inquiry, technological literacy, and character formation.
We offer programs aligned with the official Cameroon GCE (General Certificate of Education) syllabus at both Ordinary and Advanced levels, enriched with STEM-focused learning opportunities that prepare students for a competitive global landscape.
O-LEVEL PROGRAMME — FORM 1 TO FORM 5

Programme Description
The O-Level programme provides students with a broad and balanced education across core academic disciplines. Students develop strong foundational knowledge in the sciences, mathematics, languages, and humanities while building the critical thinking and study skills they will need at the advanced level.
Subjects Offered
Our curriculum includes a strong blend of academic, scientific, technical, and creative subjects designed to equip students for future success. Compulsory core subjects include English Language, French Language, Mathematics, and Computer Science/Digital Literacy. Students pursuing the science track can study Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Additional Mathematics, while the humanities and social sciences section features History, Geography, introductory Economics, and Citizenship & Values Education. The program also promotes creativity and practical skills through Arts & Technical subjects such as Technical Drawing/Design Technology, Physical Education, and Music/Cultural Arts.
Assessment
Students are assessed through continuous internal assessments (class tests, assignments, practicals) and sit the official GCE O-Level examinations in Form 5, administered by the Cameroon GCE Board.
STEM ENRICHMENT PROGRAMME
Coding & Programming Club
Students learn programming in Python, web development (HTML/CSS/JavaScript), and introduction to app development. Annual participation in national and regional coding competitions is encouraged.
Robotics & Engineering Club
Hands-on robotics building, programming, and competition preparation using industry-standard robotics kits. Students regularly participate in inter-school robotics challenges.
Science Fair & Research Projects
Every year, AFASST hosts its flagship Science & Technology Fair, where students present original research projects to panels of academics, professionals, and community leaders.
Mathematics Olympiad Preparation
Students interested in competitive mathematics receive dedicated coaching for national and international mathematics olympiad competitions.
Environmental Science Initiative
A student-led initiative focused on applied environmental science — studying local ecosystems, water quality, deforestation, and climate resilience in the Cameroonian context.
UNIVERSITY PATHWAYS & CAREER GUIDANCE
AFASST takes university placement seriously. From Form 3 onward, students receive structured career guidance and are supported by our University Pathways Programme, which includes:
- One-on-one university counselling sessions
- Assistance with university applications (Cameroon, US, UK, Canada, Europe)
- SAT, IELTS, and TOEFL preparation support
- Scholarship identification and application support
- Mentorship from AFASST alumni and partner professionals
- University open day visits and virtual campus tours
